The Ginge (‘jinj)– Defined as "short for ginger" by the band, “Ginge” means liveliness, sprit and vigor. e.g., “now that girl’s got some ginge.” Combining melodious vocals, soaring lead guitar and a driving rhythm section, The Ginge offer an infectious and spirited sampling of classic and newer rock (both well-known and obscure), soulful rhythm and blues and well-crafted original material. The group's chameleon like repertoire and eclectic mix of music brings an infectious energy to any venue, event or private party.

The Ginge Partners with Children’s Memorial Hospital.
For 125 years, Children’s Memorial Hospital has been treating the area most critically ill children. The Ginge is proud to help support those in need at Children’s Memorial. In our continuing effort to support one of the most worthwhile causes, the Ginge has agreed to donate all proceeds from its current CD, Continental Anyone? to Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. So buy a CD, great music for a great cause.
Also a regular tradition is our CONCERT FOR THE KIDS series, the last of which was held on April 8, 2011 at The Montrose Room in Rosemont. The Ginge raised over $3,000 for our favorite charity at this event and we hope to do another one in the early fall.
